See some of the artifacts that were used in the civil war.
These artifacts were presented to James' granddaughter Elaine in the
late 1990's. Although they are not from one of the Bucktails battle sites,
they were a personal gift from family historian and archaeologist James
Fahey. Fahey is the curator and military historian for the Thomas Watson
museum in Braintree, MA.
Grandson in-law George proudly
displays James' government issue
civil war weapons. The Garfield
Street home was a family museum
until Sarah's death on the 1990's.
We are sad to report that these
were stolen in a housebreak in the
mid 1990's. Germantown, PA has
grown tougher in the recent
decades.
A better view of James' sidearm.
