It was almost standing room only today as the Goliath Crane
main girder was loaded onto the barge Brooklyn Bridge. The last
wheel rolled off shore and onto the barge at exactly 12:00 noon.
Local 7 Ironworkers, Local 4 Operating Engineers and Local 56
Pile Drivers and reps from Daniel Marr, Norsar, Sarens and RDA
were there to witness the event. On the shore, Jen Harvey, wife
of Bobby Harvey, was there to witness the event. "Bobby would
want it this way" she said. It's certainly a chapter of history that
will be acknowledged as much high fives for a job well done and
"good riddance" as Ironworker Dave Carter stated.
