More teams enter the field as the days get colder and longer.
Members of  Local 56 Pile drivers man the pumps to ballast the
barge as the cargo is loaded "I'm confident with the project" state
RDA Supervising Foreman Barry Patterson. As the cargo loads
on, massive pumps are used to make adjustment in the ballast
of the barge. This accounts for the increasing load,
displacement and rising and falling tides.

Not as tight as the
girder,  slipping in
between the
buildings.
The final axle is now off
shore, the barge will be
spun about later in the
week, bow facing in.
Lars Arys, Sarens
Operator of Belgium
travels the world. He's
piloted jobs from
Africa to Australia and
now America.
A brightly painted shore
cleat anchors the
barge. Light packs are
being set up so work
can continue.
As night falls, the light
packs are fired up.
Another 12 hour day in
the frigid cold.
