Appearing larger than life against the backdrop of the
dismantled Goliath Crane, Local 7 veteran Ironworker and shop
steward Randy Green has seen it all. He's booked nearly 42
years of experience in the trade coming full circle as he watches
over the final phases of dismantling and loading of the barge.
Randy worked on the erection of the crane in 1975, a lot different
technology was used back then. His demeanor as with the rest
of the crew exude respect for the team that work side by side to
close each day safely. The project just passed the 1 year mark.
Norsar signed the contract on 2/21/08. The final leg section is
shown to the right.
