Hello Quincy,

Advanced clocks 1 hr.at 1130, crossed time zone @1600 our time:pos:35 33.0n, 066 41.9w, course
121t, speed 6.0,miles to go 5279,miles traveled 616, Winds E-SE Seas  4-8 ft, all is well. Hope to
pickup speed when we can get out of this head swell, 100 ft. wide barge with head seas is hard to
pull, haven't picked up the Easterly current yet. John Ray is turning out to be a pretty good Cook,
Barbecued ribs, baked beans and collard greens for lunch.Good food helps to keep moral up. Also
praise from the whole crew for Telaurus Satellite email, the ability to keep up with our families on a
day to day basis on a trip like this is incalculable.

Our miles to go are figured for Mangalia. Miles to Gibraltar is 2,944 nautical miles. ETA, 28 March
2009.

Thanks,

Captain Billy Hudnall

Thank you to all our contacts for keeping up to date with the log. We welcome input from family members to
fill in the blanks on how it is to have their crew at sea for such a long and historic haul.

Getting kicked around a bit
04/04/09 From the Allie B

Allie B has made it through Gibraltar. They crew stopped for about 10 hours, collected supplies, fuel and
water then headed off East into the Mediterranean Sea. They expect to be in Mangalia, Romania on or
about the 15th of April. Word is that the barge rode rock steady in the nasty Atlantic storms. More detailed
tracking will be coming soon via international ship tracking websites.
04/13/09 From the Allie B

Allie B is just  on the East end of the Greek Island
of Crete, leaving the Mediterranean going into the
Aegean Sea. They have about 680 miles to
Romania.  It's a little rough weather right now, not
bad they've had 9 days of great weather crossing
the Med. Next major check in is in Turkey as shown
on the map to the right. Tracking verified by
commercial navigation sources.

They expect to be arriving on or about the 16th of
April. See the pix below courtesy of Daniel Ferro,
Gibraltar on the 2nd of April.

04/16/09 From the Allie B

Word is that the Allie B and Goliath, aka USS
Harvey, are just into the Black Sea. They expect to
arrive in Mangalia 09:30 their time, just in time as
the port closes at 17:00 for the long Easter
Weekend. See the Map to the right for the detailed
transit info of the Allie B through the Bosporus
Strait (19 mi long) earlier today. We hope to get
exclusive pictures of the crew as they reach port,
setting another major milestone in this incredible
40 day epic journey across the globe. They did
have to wait in the Dardanelles Strait  (42 mi long)
while another ship passed through yesterday.
04/17/09 From Daewoo Mangalia
Shipyard - Congratulations  All !

At 03:56 EST, the Allie B and Goliath were just a
mile off the port. By the close of the day, they were
in the drydock!. A couple hours later, they were
berthed , safe and sound. The Allie B resting to the
right. A few weeks to offload and then back on the
ocean, and building a new crane!
