The dimming pulse of life on the base
Once again, we were invited to tour the outer range of the runways. The dilapidated control towers, now heavily vandalized
stand silent witness to the runway reclaiming effort.  While construction vehicles are in heavy action, there is still small
pockets of activity on the base. There is a school, a town gymnasium, Coast Guard housing and buoy manta finance to name
a few. On the runway, and MIT autonomous vehicle was undergoing testing. On the far side, a small shack was under lease
used to build turtle traps.
